Fixed location data

Fixed location data is generated by sensors that have a static location, such as air quality or car park sensors. For sensors that record location, you should use a Track ID instead; see Tracks.

To help you visualize this data, the Data Explorer provides you with location markers, colored by value, for each sensor location.

Displaying car parking data

Say, for example, you have a set of sensors based around a city that provide data about the number of occupied parking spaces in each car park. If you configure the fixed sensor data field as the fixed sensor property in the data layer, the Data Explorer displays the average occupancy on the map.

If you click a location, the Data Explorer displays the data for that point.
