Using Business Intelligence (BI) tools with the GeoSpock database

The GeoSpock database incorporates Presto, an open source distributed SQL query engine for running interactive analytic queries against big data sources, which you can connect to a number of BI tools. This enables you to use your existing BI tools to analyze the data ingested into the GeoSpock database, taking advantage of the optimized indexes. The following BI tools have been tested with the GeoSpock database:

  • Tableau, an interactive data visualization and analysis BI tool; see Using Tableau to run SQL queries for details on how to connect Tableau to the GeoSpock database
  • Microsoft Power BI, a business analytics service by Microsoft, that provides interactive visualizations and a business intelligence interface; see Using Power BI to run SQL queries for details on how to connect PowerBI to the GeoSpock database
  • Amazon QuickSight, a cloud-based business intelligence service, that you can use to run custom SQL queries on your ingested data; see Using QuickSight to run SQL queries for details on how to connect QuickSight to the GeoSpock database
